Well, Arcadius have been really busy this week recording their new Christmas single. The new song, 'Same Time Next Year', is a jolly punk rock anthem that will put you in the dancing Christmas mood!

Review: Cannibal Panda perform Mozart's "Dies Irae" in D Minor

In the last few weeks Cannibal Panda (the University project I am part of) have been working on a contemporary version of Mozart's "Dies Irae" for our first performance assessment. Well, yesterday on the 30th November 2011, was the performance!

Our version included the original piano score with other classical instrumentation such as saxophone and flute. This mixed in with a metal drum beat, overdriven guitar and rap and Latin vocals was reminiscent of Anthrax and Public Enemy, but with a classical twist.

The original structure was honoured as much as possible, with an added introduction and extended verse sections to fit the popular music form.
